MM, New England Conservatory; BM University of Denver, magna cum laude. Recipient of 4-year-full-scholarship from the University of Denver, scholarship from the New England Conservatory, Outstanding Student in Commercial Music Studies Award, Outstanding Student in Jazz Studies Award, and Music Honor Society Award. Performed/recorded with Roswell Rudd, Ran Blake, Pheeroan akLaff, Michael Cain, Dave Fiuczynski, Frank Carlberg, Carlos Alomar, Min Xiao-Fen, Bob Moses, Stomu Takeishi, John McNeil, Jason Hwang, and Irene Aebi. Has�appeared at numerous venues, on radio and television shows in Korea, Japan, and all over the US as a bandleader and guest vocalist and pianist.

Born in Seoul, South Korea in 1979, and raised in Malaysia, Thailand, and the US, Kim�started her musical studies with�at the age of 7 with classical piano lessons and received�a BM from University of Denver, and a MM from the New England Conservatory in Jazz Studies, Voice Performance.�Kim has established a reputation as a unique voice in contemporary improvisatory music scene in the US in variety of settings. Projects vary from ensembles in jazz tradition, to noise/ambient electronica, to contemporary classical settings, to hip-hop.�As a�creator�of multimedia shows,�Kim gained immediate recognition with her debut,�#1. Android Ascension: myth of miTch, which involved her collaboration with dancers,�and martial artists.�Kim's career has included work with Roswell Rudd, Pheeroan akLaff, Ran Blake, Bob Moses, Stomu Takeishi, Dave Fiuczynski, Michael Cain, Frank Carlberg, Carlos Alomar, Jason Hwang, Irene Aebie and Min Xiao Fen.�In addition to works in improvisatory music, Kim has also worked extensively as a piano accompanist. She has worked with various choral conductors including Darren Dailey, Nick Page and Allysa Jones and performed at the Fleet Center, Boston Symphony Hall, and International Children's Chorale Festival in Japan, to name a few.�Kim studied improvisation with Marguerite Juenemanne, Dominique Eade, Bob Moses, John McNeil, composition with Hankus Netsky and Michael Gandolfi, and�martial arts�with Sifu Stanley Jue.�Kim performs regularly�in NY area as well as Korea as a bandleader and sideman.�
